Appearance: as Barry, as The Flash
Canon Point: 5x07, O Come, All Ye Thankful
Background: wiki link

Personality: Barry is first and foremost a superhero. His drive to protect people comes from his sense of hope, ability to love and his optimism. He’ll try his hardest to protect his city, the people he cares about, and even total strangers. He’s also occasionally stubborn, reckless, and self-sacrificing. Sometimes literally, like when he took Savitar’s place in the Speed Force prison for six months to save Central City, or like his current canon point, when he dies trying to stop the explosion of an experimental power source.

He’s also a genius and uses his intellect to help people when he can, not just his abilities. He pursued a career as a CSI to get justice for his mother’s murder, but also because he genuinely cares about helping innocent victims. He’s highly moral (sometimes even a little judgmental about it) though he has been known to break the law or do questionably moral things for the sake of those he loves.

Barry holds a lot of respect for his mentor figures – Oliver Queen, Harry Wells, Jay Garrick, etc. Even the ones who betrayed him (Eobard Thawne and Hunter Zolomon) still imparted knowledge that affects him sometimes. He’s also learned to be a mentor himself, first with Jesse and Wally, then with Ralph. He tries to inspire him to be the best version of himself he can be.

With his friends and family, as much as he loves for them and fights to protect them, he can sometimes be closed off, trying to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders. He would prefer them to lean on him, not the other way around. It’s sometimes difficult for him to talk about how he’s feeling about things, unless it’s prodded out of him. He’ll often say he’s fine when he isn’t. But he’s also extremely loyal, protective, and caring. He has a big heart, and his friends are as much a part of his family as Joe, Iris, and Wally are. Joe took him in at 11 when his father was framed for his mother’s murder and raised him as if he was his own. Much of his childhood, teen years, and young adult life was spent trying to cope with and avenge the loss of his mother.

He’s been in love with his wife, Iris, most of his life (despite not being aware of that love for a long time), though he’s had previous girlfriends. He will go to ridiculous lengths to prove himself to his love interests, like the one time he ate a ghost pepper to prove his feelings to Linda. However, he can also be a little oblivious about his own feelings, or other people's feelings for him. He also loves his daughter Nora, who has visited from the future, and is learning how to be a dad (albeit in the reverse order). He feels guilty knowing he won’t be there for her when she grows up.

Despite dealing with crisis after crisis with Team Flash, Barry is kind and empathetic. He feels things strongly in general and goes above and beyond to show that he cares. He has a bit of an identity crisis sometimes, because he doesn’t know what he’s worth when he’s unable to help people as the Flash (something he confesses when he’s in prison, framed for murder). He’s overall a good person, but sometimes he lets his emotions, or his guilt overwhelm him with dangerous results.

Weaknesses/Temptations:

- As mentioned above, if anyone he loves is in danger/threatened in some way, he’s more likely to agree to questionable things to save them.

- He can be overemotional, easily prodded into anger or vengeance

- He’s easily tricked/manipulated if he’s made to think he’s helping others

- Someone else having future knowledge/being literally one step ahead of him is a major source of frustration

Hi everyone, Barry Allen here. Apparently I was here before, but it might have been a me from a different timeline or something, because I don’t remember anything about it. Not actually the first time that’s happened. Anyway. I have a lot of questions.

Are we all dead here? I mean, I remember dying, but I don’t know if everyone died to get here. Also if we’re dead, why am I hungry? Does anyone here who isn’t a Hell demon have special abilities? Are they affected down here? Is there a Big Belly Burger? Is anyone else from Central City here?

…I should probably stop there, huh. [He looks a little sheepish.]

Log: from the TDM

FYI: Barry and Thirteen start with “Arrival” and we combined it with “Just a Little Cut” so same warnings for that.
